When should I hire a Postpartum Doula?

You can book as early as twelve weeks into your pregnancy, that way I will be available and dedicated to you from the beginning. You can also hire a doula once you get your infant home and realize you need help. Specific reasons might include having twins, bringing a baby home from the NICU, no local family support, a partner deployed in the military, a history of anxiety or depression, or you have a toddler at home.

Caring for a newborn can be hard. While there are many different ways to care for an infant, sometimes it takes a while to figure out which way is right for you, your baby and your family as a whole.

Once you get your infant home, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with the responsibility, and the lack of information and follow-up care offered by our modern medical system.

You deserve help. I will guide you through those first few weeks and months, and together we will figure out what’s the best way for you and your family to care for your infant, and while we are doing that, I will also take care of YOU!
